Course Overview

Our OSHA 30 Hour General Industry course is a voluntary program with the purpose of promoting workplace safety and health, and to make workers more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights. Students will be provided with basic safety and health information and education. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive an OSHA 30 Hour General Industry course completion card in the mail. Please note: this course will not fulfill an employer’s requirement to provide training under specific OSHA standards.

Key Topics/Goals/Objectives

Students will be provided with training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of workplace hazards in general industry. This course will also provide students with overview information regarding OSHA, including workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint.

Who Should Attend?

Our OSHA 30 Hour General Industry course is primarily intended for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility. Students looking for a greater depth and variety of training will benefit from this course versus an OSHA 10 Hour General Industry course.

Why Should You Attend?

Employees will leave the course with knowledge related to hazards they may encounter while on the job. They will also leave with an understanding of the hazard assessment process: hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention of hazards. Through this training, workers will have the information needed to understand about workplace hazards, workers’ rights, and contribute to our nation’s productivity.
