MADISON – Ten Wisconsin companies were honored as Workplace Safety Award winners by Wisconsin Safety Council earlier this month. The program, sponsored by Wisconsin’s Department of Workforce Development and M3 Insurance, recognizes Wisconsin companies that are dedicated to prioritizing a culture of safety in the workplace and have maintained exceptional safety records.

A panel of independent safety, health, and insurance professionals selected the winners based on company safety records, training programs, safety and health leadership, and other accomplishments. The awards were distributed based on company size in three categories: Manufacturing; Agriculture, Transportation, Utilities & Other; and Construction.

DWD Secretary Amy Pechacek and M3 Insurance’s Senior Director of Risk Management Chris Halverson presented the awards to representatives from each of the winning companies at the Wisconsin Safety Council’s Annual Conference, held April 14-16 in the Wisconsin Dells.
