WSC Member News: ORBIS – Menasha Celebrates 600 Days OSHA Recordable Free

ORBIS – Menasha recently celebrated 600 days recordable free. ORBIS, a manufacturer of reusable packaging, focusing mainly on pallets, top caps, and containers in headquartered in Oconomowoc, WI with plants world-wide.

By providing a full circle approach to safety and health with programs that include ergonomic training on day one of employment, behavior based safety coaching, around the clock care and support from a Licensed Industrial Athletic Trainer and wellness initiatives that target the issues affecting employees specifically to our plant, they are able to consider each individual as a whole person, rather than just an employee. Their relentless and continued efforts have created a culture where safety is the most important aspect of their business, because without their employees, servicing their customers is impossible.

Noteworthy to this accomplishment is the high amount of temporary employees that are at ORBIS-Menasha. In the last 600 days, 26% of the production labor hours have been from temporary employees. Many of these employees are only at the Plant for a few days and yet the commitment to safety has never changed.
