12 Companies Win Wisconsin Corporate Safety Awards

Award winners will be honored during the annual Wisconsin Safety & Health Conference in Wisconsin Dells April 17-18

MADISON – Wisconsin Safety Council (WSC), the state’s leading provider of safety training and products, and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) will honor 12 companies with this year’s Wisconsin Corporate Safety Awards program.

“The Wisconsin Corporate Safety Awards honor companies that put safety above all else and insist that they do everything possible to send employees home safe every single day,” said WSC Executive Director Janet Metzger. “These companies have achieved this recognition because they value safety, and instill this same value in all their workers. From everyone at WSC, we congratulate each company on this prestigious recognition.”

The winners were chosen based on information they provided on their organization’s safety and health leadership, training and implementation programs and employee participation. Their applications also included information on their safety accomplishments and goals. The applications were judged by an independent panel of 30 safety, insurance and human resource professionals.

“Worker safety in Wisconsin is critical to our state’s success, and the employers being recognized have demonstrated their commitment to keeping their workplaces safe,” DWD Secretary Ray Allen. “As we continue our efforts to train, retain and attract new talent to Wisconsin, our efforts to promote workplace safety will give Wisconsin an important edge.”

The awards will be presented during the 76th annual Wisconsin Safety and Health Conference at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells on April 17-18, 2017. The awards program is sponsored by M3 Insurance.
